As part of the content management system on this blog, I can see where people are coming from when they visit here.  It’s REALLY weird and occassionally disturbing.  I suspected this would be visitied only by family and friends, but a couple of posts are visited pretty much every single day and it’s because they rank high in Google and Yahoo search for specific searches.  This picture of Cedar is visited often by people searching for “no pants”…

However, NOTHING is visited more than this photo, which brings people from all over the world searching for “plumber butt” and “butt crack”.

I’m sure there’s a lesson in increasing web traffic in here somewhere.  Stay tuned for future posts “Bigger, Better Plumber Butt” and “Giant Butt Crack”  on my new blog “Photos of My Children’s Asses”…

Alert The Authorities! Dogs On A Beach In Winter!!!

Here’s a positive way that the City of Vancouver is helping to ring in the New Year - by having Animal Control staff at public beaches making sure that dogs are all on-leash.  What a complete waste of time!  We were out at Kits Beach the other day and were accosted by a woman from Animal Control about Sandy being off her leash.  Okay, in the summer, I get it - people on the beach swimming and sunbathing don’t want to have to contend with dogs.  But these are pictures of the beach minutes after she scolded us…

We watched as she wandered down the COMPLETELY DESERTED beach looking for more dog owners to harass.  God forbid a 13 pound eskipoo is let loose on the unsuspecting sand!  Hey Animal Control - lay off in the winter and go do something useful and productive.  Go euthanize a few pitbulls!  Or better yet, grab a big plastic bag and a shovel and help clean up the dog turds left in the parks.

Ch-ch-check it out - Diddly Dawson chillin’ in his pimp suit and loungin’ in his pimp chair.  He’s the shiz-nit.

Beach Walk

FINALLY, some sun out here today!  We took the kids and the dog to Jericho Beach for a long walk and got some great year-end pics of Cedar and Dawson.

Doggie-Style Christmas

Sandy got in on the gift action, getting a stuffed veterinarian.  Very, very popular with the pooch.

Best Christmas Gift

Cedar’s whoopee cushion.  Loads of laughs.  (Kerri-Lynn got one, too, and apparently it’s been a huge hit in Kanata as well).  One dollar + on-demand fart sounds = great Christmas.

Christmas 2006 Highlights

Overall, an amazing Christmas this year.  Now four years old, Cedar was insane with excitement about the presents and kept asking, “Can I open another one for me?”.  She got a Cabbage Patch doll and a Cinderella Vanity.

Dawson, who we thought would only enjoy ripping up wrapping paper, had a blast and played with lots of his presents in his new ‘pimp’ sweatsuit.

I got a Wii, which has been ridiculously fun to play (MAJOR family grudge matches at Wii tennis and bowling…).

Maggot got a mixmaster, clothes, and a giant slow cooker.

Alexa got clothes and fancy place settings.

And in my favourite Xmas pic, Courtney got a video ipod.  Caption for this photo: “Holy S*@*! I got a video iPod!”

Letter To Santa - 2006 Edition

Last year, Cedar wrote her first letter to Santa.  This year, it’s Santa letter 2.0, dictated before bed on Christmas Eve.  She may be blunt, but at least she knows what she wants.
