Every spring, Citytv marketing poobah, Steve Scarrow, puts on his own film festival. The Scarrow Film Fest is an event in Richmond where Steve’s friends, colleagues, and family gather to screen home-made movies that have never been shown elsewhere or produced for anyone else. The night is split into two halves - the first half is family friendly and the second half… um, not so much. The movies run the gamut from super-cute kid-filled home movies to unspeakably off-colour comedies - they’re all highly entertaining. This year, I made a movie with Jordan Kawchuk called ‘The Professionals - Masters of Video.’ It was an awesome chance to use every bad TV technique we’ve ever seen in under four minutes.
Have a look and let me know what you think - it won Best Film and Best Director honours last night. Woot!

Bella watched it with me and she said:
“Steve’s not a professional, is he?”

Steve is most certainly NOT a professional
Cedar runs around the house now yelling ‘ta ta titi ta!’ I’ve created an annoying machine…

I was wondering if I could hire you both for a CTV Entertainment program we are working on. It looks like you have access to a large studio for green screen. Please give me a call as I can’t seem to figure out how to get your e-mail address. Nice work. Oh by the way the program is about talent scouts.
